What Happens If Fraud Occurs After Payment?
When a Cardholder Reports Fraud:
The payment partner immediately freezes the card
A new card is issued (excluding the current balance)
Delivery occurs within 3-5 business days
Provider conducts a fraud investigation
Findings are released after 14 business days
If fraud is confirmed: stolen funds are restored to the new card
If fraud is not confirmed: no reimbursement is provided
When Payment Partners Detect Suspicious Activity:
The cardholder is contacted to verify suspicious charges
If charges are denied, the card is frozen
A new card is issued (excluding the current balance)
Delivery occurs within 3-5 business days
A thorough investigation follows
Findings are released after 14 business days
Confirmed fraud cases result in fund restoration
Unconfirmed cases receive no reimbursement
